Hey, this is a bit late I no, but I have just remembered to do this!  This will be my very last post on this blog, Very sad but I have now left Matapu school to go to high school.  So Thank-you to all the people that I have met and the teaches that I have had over the years!  So once again thank-you Matapu school and good-bye!

How do we use technology in the classroom?

We use technology in the class room with all sorts of things like:
- School blogs (presenting stuff that we have done in the classroom)
- Movies for theme work
- Google docs ( for sharing work with Mr.C an  the rest of the class)
- listening to music (only if we have been good)

There is also a lot  of other ways that we can use technology in the classroom.

How does this help our learning?

This helps us for a lot of reasons.  Some of the mane reasons is because in the futcher there will be  lot more technology in our lives so this is getting us ready.  Another reason is because it is more funner.  You can also make work a lot more neat.

This week my WOW is learning my script for our production.  At the end of the term our whole school is going to be holding a production called the pirates of the narrabeen.  At this stage I have learnt most of my lines.  All I have to learn now is the small parts.  I have the part of Abby.

This week my WOW is my Basic Facts Score. I am VERY happy with this because the last time I did a Basic Facts test I got 78 and this time I got 99/100. And my time was 4:21.

This week my WOW is our netball game. This week Manaia came to our school and played us.  It was a very WET game but we played hard and I saved a couple of goals from going in.  Even though the final score wasn’t the best our team played very well had a very good game.  Manaia won 30-13

This week my WOW is my Theme video. Me and Alyx done our video on women’s right. I like this video because we got to learn a lot more about Kate Sheppardand what she did. The good things about the video is that we used pics and that the type of video that we did is easy to understand and another thing that we did well is we got useful information not stuff that we did not need.

If you don’t know what Kate Sheppard did she fought for women to be eligible to vote.

This week my WOW is my family tree. I like my Family tree because I got to no who my greatgrand parents are and were they come from. The thing that surprised me the most is that my dads grandmother came from Australia.

This week my WOW is my is my handwriting. I like this because it is neat and the best work I can do. But I think I could work on making all my words touch the top of the line.

This week in writing our class has been focusing on the first paragraph in a story.
I learnt that in the first paragraph you need to set the seen and describe the characters. 
I think next time I could improve on making my verses longer, setting the seen better and adding more adjectives.
I think the things I did well were using the five senses and the punctuation is really well.

This is my story.
 
“I cant do this.”
“Wow whats that smell.”
It smelled like rotten eggs.
I looked around for the slightest movement.
All I could see was the rats running from behind me.
BANG!!
The rubbish bin lid blew off the bin.
I took one steep closer and my eyes started to water.
What was I doing I new this could lead to danger with that yuck smell
